List of Tokaido Shinkansen Stations
The Tokaido Shinkansen, the world’s first high-speed rail line, opened in 1964. It runs a total distance of 556.2 km with a maximum speed of 285 km/h.
Many trains continue onto the Sanyo Shinkansen, so the two lines together are called the “Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen.”
