The Toyoko Line runs between Shibuya Station and Yokohama Station, as shown on the route map below.

The Shin-Yokohama Line connects Shin-Yokohama Station with Hiyoshi Station, where it joins the Toyoko Line.

Stations served by Limited Express and F-Liner trains are highlighted with green circles on the route map. No additional fare is required to use these trains.

Through Services to the Fukutoshin, Minatomirai, and Shin-Yokohama Lines

The Toyoko Line provides through services beyond both terminal stations.

Additionally, some southbound trains diverge onto the Shin-Yokohama Line at Hiyoshi Station.

Train Service Categories on the Toyoko Line

As of March 2026, the Toyoko Line operates five train service categories:

  • Local (Kakueki-Teisha)
  • Express (Kyuko)
  • Commuter Limited Express (Tsukin-Tokkyu)
  • Limited Express & F-Liner (Tokkyu & F-Liner)
  • S-TRAIN (Additional fare & reserved seating)

The F-Liner is the brand name for Limited Express trains operating through the networks of five railway operators.

The S-TRAIN is a reserved-seat train requiring an additional fare. It operates on weekends and public holidays.

Q SEAT, Tokyu’s reserved-seat service, was introduced in August 2023.
